Shout! Studios, a multi-platform filmed entertainment production and distribution arm of Shout! Factory, has acquired North American rights to Izzy Gets the F*ck Across Town, a boisterous indie comedy/drama from Amateur Detective Films. Written and directed by Christian Papierniak, the film stars Mackenzie Davis (Halt and Catch Fire, Blade Runner 2049), Carrie Coon (The Leftovers, Fargo), Alex Russell (Chronicle, S.W.A.T) Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development, Green Room), Haley Joel Osment (Silicon Valley, The Sixth Sense), Brandon T. Jackson (Bojack Horseman, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters), Lakeith Stanfield (Death Note, Get Out), Rob Huebel (The Descendants, Children’s Hospital), Sarah Goldberg (Hindsight), Kyle Kinane (The House), Luka Jones (People of Earth), Meghan Lennox (Parker & Maggie), and Sheldon Bailey (Shameless), with Dolly Wells (Bridget Jones’s Baby) and Annie Potts (Ghostbusters). The film is produced by Christian Papierniak, Meghan Lennox, Mackenzie Davis, Melissa Panzer and Amateur Detective Films, in association with Aspire Entertainment and Mr. Groceries Productions.
Izzy Gets the F*ck Across Town premiered earlier this year at the Los Angeles Film Festival to critical acclaim and enthusiastic audiences. The announcement was made today by Shout! Factory’s founders Richard Foos, Bob Emmer and Garson Foos, and Amateur Detective Films’ Christian Papierniak and Meghan Lennox.
Shout! Studios has secured all North American distribution rights to Izzy Gets the F*ck Across Town, including theatrical, VOD, digital, broadcast and home entertainment for cross-platform releases in the U.S. and Canada. Shout! Factory plans a strategic rollout of this movie across multiple entertainment platforms, beginning with a theatrical launch in 2018 through Shout! Studios.

The film deal was negotiated by Shout’s Vice President of Business Affairs, Vanessa Keiko Flanders for Shout! Studios, and Cinetic Media’s Eric Sloss and Steven Farneth on behalf of Amateur Detective Films and the filmmakers.
