Shout! Factory TV Celebrates Black Voices By Bringing Back the BLACK HISTORY MONTH COLLECTION, Streaming All February Long

Shout! Factory TV’s array of diverse content is available year-round, but for the month of February, we are highlighting a curated collection that amplifies Black voices and stories.

For a powerful narrative tale, watch Emmy-winning The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman, which features Cicely Tyson as a woman who was born into slavery and lived to become part of the civil rights movement. Revisit the adaptation of James Baldwin's celebrated semi-autobiographical novel with Go Tell It on the Mountain, the story of a young boy struggling with identity and gaining his step-father's approval. Horror historians will enjoy George Romero's chilling zombie film Night of the Living Dead. Duane Jones as Ben was the first Black lead in the horror genre and was one of Jordan Peele's influences for Get Out. Woman in Motion: Nichelle Nichols, Star Trek and the Remaking of NASA is a brilliant documentary about how Nichols used her fame to increase diversity in America's space program. No matter what you're in the mood to watch, you'll find something highlighting the power of Black creators in this selection.

The collection is available during the month of February for viewing on demand on ShoutFactoryTV.com; Shout! Factory TV’s Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, and Android apps; and on various Shout! Factory TV branded channels including Tubi, Amazon Prime Channels, and the Roku Channel. Shout! Factory TV will also be featuring content celebrating Black History Month programmed throughout the month of February on its linear channels.
