What began in 1981 as a benefit for the New York Choral Society has now become a decades-long holiday music tradition. Join Peter, Paul and Mary in their spectacular live concert PBS Special, with symphony orchestra and a 200-voice chorus. The concert features a mixture of the Trio's iconic folk classics, Christmas and Hannukah songs and carols, traditional spirituals and holiday songs of hope, friendship and peace.
A holiday ritual for families throughout America who faithfully watch this annual PBS Special, this concert is highlighted by children from Mary's elementary school accompanying the trio on "Light One Candle," Peter's Hanukkah song written especially for this concert. Also, Robert DeCormier, conductor emeritus of the New York Choral Society, shares the stage with the trio as his former student, Mary Travers, sings gloriously with Noel Paul and Peter, completing a remarkable musical circle.
