Shout! Studios, the multi-platform entertainment and production arm of Shout! Factory, and XYZ Films have entered into an exclusive movie deal to distribute MASQUERADE, a tense thriller written and directed by Shane Dax Taylor (Isolation, Bloodworth, Close Range). Bella Thorne (Midnight Sun, Assassination Nation, Netflix’s The Babysitter franchise) leads a stellar cast of Alyvia Alyn Lind (Netflix’s Daybreak, Overboard), Skyler Samuels (The Gifted, American Horror Story) with Mircea Monroe (Book Club, Fifty Shades of Black) and Austin Nichols (The Walking Dead, Bates Motel). A Production of Racer Entertainment, and A Shane Dax Taylor Film, MASQUERADE is produced by Steven Schneider (Glass, Insidious: The Lost Key), Shane Dax Taylor, and Kenneth Burke (Black Cadillac, Bloodworth). The announcement was made today by Jordan Fields, Shout’s Vice President of Acquisitions, and Pip Ngo, Vice President of Sales and Acquisitions at XYZ Films.
Shout! Studios has secured all distribution rights in North America, United Kingdom, and Eire to MASQUERADE, including theatrical, digital, video-on-demand, broadcast, and home entertainment for cross-platform releases. Shout! Studios plans a strategic launch of this movie across all major entertainment platforms in North America, beginning with a day-and-date release later this year.

The movie deal was negotiated by Shout’s Jordan Fields and Steve Katz, Vice President of Business Affairs for Shout! Studios, and Pip Ngo, Vice President of Sales and Acquisitions for XYZ Films on behalf of the filmmakers.
Bleiberg Entertainment will handle international sales for territories outside of North America, United Kingdom, Eire, Middle East, Indonesia and Taiwan

Movie synopsis
Masquerade follows 11-year-old Casey (Lind), who must survive the night after a group of intruders, led by Rose (Thorne), break into her family’s home to steal their priceless artwork. The stakes are plenty high as the crew will stop at nothing to get what they want until the shocking twist ending.
